Strange Artifact – Japanese Steampunk Band

Another proof of Steampunk’s popularity around the world. I have mentioned Japan before, and yesterday, I  found a brilliant Japanese Steampunk band:

Strange Artifact

And here is a video, taken from their site:

Also, Strange Artifact will also be present at the

Steampunk Cherry blossom viewing party in Tokyo! 東京でスチームパンク風な花見パーティー!

For more information about this event, please visit the Facebook page.

Actually, I think they are the hosts of this event. My Japanese is, alas, not advanced eough to confirm this. I am actually working on learning Japanese, I am just a bit stuck at the moment.

And in completely unrelated news (except for the fact that it happened in Japan):

Researchers at the University of Tokyo’s Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe (IPMU) and Nagoya University used large-scale computer simulations and recent observational data of gravitational lensing to reveal how dark matter is distributed around galaxies.

  1. Thank you for your post! We are indeed hosting the cherry blossom party (the info for which is all in English!) and hope that both foreign and Japanese fans of the genre will come out.

  2. どういたしまして.

  3. Aaah, there’s something wrong with your character encoding, some of your message came out garbled but I think I see what you’re trying to write. Hope you can make it out next time!

(p.s., just sent you a friend request on Facebook! Cheers.)

    • Oh man! My theme does not support all kanji characters. It looks all right in the editor. 🙁
Anyway: I hope many people (Japanese and foreign) will show up and I am really sad I am too far away.
